Year 6 visit to see The Lion King

On Wednesday 12th June, Year 6 got the coach to London to watch the ‘The Lion King’. After enjoying the scenic drive along the River Thames, via St Paul’s cathedral, we stopped at Victoria Embankment Gardens for a picnic lunch, before walking up to Waterloo bridge and along to the Lyceum Theatre

The show was incredible and the children were mesmerissed as the giant animal characters made their way to the stage down the aisles. There was lots of clapping and merriment throughout.

After the show, we were then lucky enough to meet two cast members – Zazu and a hyena- and ask them a few questions. The children thought of brilliant questions to ask and the staff commented on how engaged and well behaved the children were. The children all left feeling inspired and excited to put on a summer production of our own!

A fabulous day was had by all; a big thank you to our parent helpers and staff for coming along and giving up their time to accompany us.
