Year 2 trip to Mountfitchet Castle

On Monday 17th May the Year 2 classes went to visit Mountfitchet Castle. They will be learning about castles in their History lessons and are also having a go at designing and making their own castles in Design Technology.

Everyone had a great time on the trip and learned a lot about what life was like in a Norman castle. The children couldn’t believe how many nasty punishments there were for committing a crime! The funniest part of the day was when a goat pulled a worksheet off Mrs Webb’s clipboard and ate it!!

Luckily the rain held off until we got back on the coach. We have all missed going on school trips!
