World Book Week – Story telling workshop

We began World Book Week with a story telling workshop.  In assembly, the Story Teller told a story to all KS2 classes set in the time of King Arthur using only her voice and body movements to bring the story to life.  It was a really exciting tale and the children were transfixed!

After assembly it was Class 3’s story telling workshop.  We began by thinking about each character in the story and how they might have walked.  Next the children had to really use their imagination to turn a scarf into all sorts of different props; they came up with lots of wild and imaginative ideas!  Our workshop ended with a hot-seat session where three children volunteered to be Sir Percival and answered questions about his adventure.  It was fantastic fun and the children really enjoyed getting into character.
