Wishing a Happy Easter to Year 3!

Well, we made it to the end of term – and you made it to the end of week 2 of home learning! We hope that you are in a position to enjoy two weeks off from home learning and really enjoy some family time without the added pressure of schoolwork. It’s important to relax and have fun, but we hope that the children will continue to help around the house!

Today is the last day that you can email Mrs Hall for access to LanguageNut, for French, so please make use of this if the children are interested. You can also email Miss Hallahan for access to Fiction Express, for reading. The website has ‘live’ books, with new chapters added each week, and a library of complete texts for the children to enjoy.

We won’t be setting any work for over the holidays, but we hope to start back after Easter with more Maths, English and foundation subjects, moving on from the work set over the last two weeks.

We’d love it if the children could keep up with some form of reading in the holidays, whether that’s reading physical books, e-books online, audio books or reading First News on the school website. Spelling games are welcome too!

The children might also enjoy playing some Maths games, so we would recommend the following websites for that. There are still tasks set on My maths from the previous two weeks for the children that haven’t managed to do them yet. Alternatively, any games involving number facts and times tables would be great.

Most importantly do whatever keeps the children and your family happy and sane during this strange time!

Have a great couple of weeks!
