Trip to Mill Green Museum

We were very lucky to have an extremely fun school trip yesterday. We visited Mill Green Museum and spent the day completing lots of activities.

In the morning we continued our learning about The Great Fire of London and got to experience items from the times and explored fire fighting equipment from then and now. We also got to bake some bread, a traditional cottage loaf, in the same way Thomas Farriner would have done.

It was a lovely day and we were able to eat lunch outside before starting our afternoon activities. In the afternoon, we visited the Miller and got to learn all about the process of making flour using the mill. We were then able to try some dressing up before making our own models, using cogs, which worked in a similar way to the mill.
