The William Ransom Orbit

A Special Note from Mrs Driver:

It seems no time at all since the last edition of the Orbit and yet here we are again, looking back over another hugely successful term.

The most exciting thing this term has been working towards the drama club’s production of the Lion King. For many years it has been one of my favourite shows and I never thought I would ever have the chance to be involved in putting a production of it together. So when Disney contacted me last summer to see if I would be interested I jumped at the chance.

I am lucky to have great principals to work with, who have worked hard to get their parts learned, also to have Miss Ayliffe and Mrs Mackilligan to work with me on the show. Mrs Mackilligan is an amazing dancer and she creates some wonderful production numbers where all 150 cast members are singing and dancing!

The end of a school year is a sad time as we have to say goodbye to some people. Our Year 6s leave us to move onto Secondary School and we wish them well. Mrs Waite is leaving to take up a career in teaching and we are sure she will make a great teacher and Mr Mills is leaving us to become Headteacher of Whitehill School. Mr Mills has introduced lots of new ideas to the school and has been a great enthusiast for all aspects of school sport. We all wish him well.

I hope you all have a lovely summer break and enjoy some sunshine.
