The William Ransom Orbit

It is lovely that at last the weather is starting to warm up and there are some definite signs of spring!

I have never known such a busy term in school! We have had World Book Day with lots of pupils dressing up as different characters. We had a group of children getting involved in The Recycled Fashion Show at St Christopher’s School; we have had a singer and dancers performing at the County Dance Festival with a wonderful routine, the Year 6s have all been to see The Lion King and science week was a great success across the school. It is fantastic to have so many pupils involved in projects both in and out of school where they get the chance to represent the school in such a positive way.

We have had great success on the sports field too with the girls’ football team being the ESFA champions this year. The boys have done equally well by being league winners and ESFA district champions. They made it through the whole season unbeaten! We have also had teams out with athletics, hockey, speed stacking and lots more! Well done to everyone who has participated.

This is also the busiest term for getting work done and I have really enjoyed going around the school and seeing the work going on in the different classes. There are some lovely displays up in all the rooms and the science displays all look amazing in the main areas of the school.

Now we can look forward to all the exciting things the summer term brings us and I look forward to seeing some fantastic work being produced across the school.
