Our new Year 2 Storytelling Club is now in full swing. The children have been creating story maps and retelling a story called The Stonecutter. They have also been making props and costumes to help to retell the story.
In preparation for our celebration of stories on World Book Day, all of KS1 began the week with a Storytelling session. Miss Barnett told the story of the Monkeys and the Hats. Cedar and Pine class created story maps and had a go at retelling the story, adding actions to make it more interesting. Ash, Oak and Hazel class made hats so that they could become the monkeys and help to re-enact the story.
