Reception Home Learning 27.4.20

It’s week 2 of the Summer term and we hope you are all doing ok. The work outlined below is for you to look through and do what you can when you can. There are lots of ideas on here to hopefully suit everyone in every situation so please look through and choose according to your circumstances.

Literacy work is focussed on a ‘Talk for Writing’ resource by Pie Corbett. We have practised the skills of re-telling stories before and using story maps so the children should be familiar with them. The pack contains a wealth of ideas stemming from the main story- these will last at least a couple of weeks so don’t feel you need to get them all done in a week!

This would be the time of year in school that we would be looking at life cycle and animals and habitats. There is a link to an activity pack that contains a wide range of ideas linked to this subject. Please have a look through and dip into those that appeal to your child and suit your resources, space and time. Again there are enough activities to last over several weeks.

The maths resource features activities to continue to practice and reinforce number.
