Class 5/6 A and 5/6 W recently held a Poetry Slam. The children worked in groups to create Performance Poems. They used lots of figurative language and practised hard to ensure their poems would entertain the audience. Both classes then went into the hall to perform – the poems were all very different and the children enjoyed both participating and voting. The winning poem was entitled 'Pirates in New York'.
