‘Supporting Links’ courses for parents

Supporting Links Home

Supporting Links are offering two free online courses this term, for parents of children with ASD or ADHD (although no formal diagnosis is required):

Monday 5th October – ‘Talking ASD & ADHD: Transition and Change

Thursday 12th November – ‘Talking ASD & ADHD: Anxiety and Stress

Parent courses from Family Lives

Parenting and Family Support - Family Lives (Parentline Plus)

Please see below for information about 3 online parent workshops, taking place this term, which are being offered by ‘Family Lives’ and funded by HCC.

The following courses are being offered:

1. Bringing Up Confident Children for Parents of Children aged 5 to 13 with ADHD (1 x 6-week group)

2. Bringing Up Confident Children for Parents of Children aged 5 to 15 with SEN (1 x 8-week group)

3. Getting on with your Pre Teen/Teen for parents of children aged 10 to 16 (3 x 6-week groups on different days/times)

Please find links below to the July newsletter for ADD-vance, with useful information for parents of children with diagnosed or suspected ADHD and ASD.

They are running their hugely popular free course: ‘Understanding ADHD and Autism’ online and are offering some new dates for this. It gets booked up very quickly and booking opens on Friday 3rd July at 1pm.

ADD-vance are also offering a series of webinars, entitled, ‘Going Back to School after COVID’. Booking for the webinars opens on Monday 6th July at 1pm.

A recording of the LIVE Young People’s COVID-19 webinar is now available to view via the link below. It may be of interest to some of our older children.

The webinar addressed questions that have been raised by young people.  The webinar panel included Professor Jim McManus, Herts Director of Public Health; Councillor Tim Hutchings, Cabinet Member for Public Health; Simon Newland, Education Operations Director, Hertfordshire County Council; and Liz Shapland, Deputy Education Services Director, Herts for Learning.
