Family Lives Online Parenting Group
Please find below a flyer and referral form for the online Parenting Group: ‘Bringing up confident children – for the parents of children with ADHD/ASD’
The course will be taking place: Thursday 16th September to 21st October 9.30am to 11.30am.
The programme provides support, information and resources to parents/carers and adult family members so they can help their child reach their full potential.
Sessions will cover the following:
* ADHD – a whole-family issue
* Understanding your child’s behaviour
* Helping your child manage their feelings and outbursts
* Balancing support of siblings
* Learning new parenting strategies to address challenging behaviour and to make a difference in your family life

Herts Inclusive Theatre
‘Herts Inclusive Theatre’ is coming to Stevenage from 21st April!
“Herts Inclusive Theatre (HIT) use the arts and wellbeing practices to build confidence, develop skills and give participants and their families memorable, enjoyable life experiences where everyone is encouraged, valued, supported and has their part to play.
Led by experienced practitioners, the workshops are open to all and are especially welcoming to those with special needs.”

Online Parenting Groups with Family Lives
‘Family Lives’ are offering several online parenting groups this term, funded by Hertfordshire County Council.

‘Supporting Links’ are offering a number of free, online, 6-week courses for parents this term.

Free ADD-Vance Workshops Spring 2021
Please find below a flyer advertising the free online workshops offered to parents and carers of those with diagnoses of (or suspected) ADHD or Autism. These can be booked by following the link on the flyer.
I understand that new dates have been published for the very popular 5-week course, ‘Understanding ADHD and Autism’. Booking for this will open on Monday 1st February and the courses get booked up very quickly indeed. Beginning of the Journey – Understanding the SEN World
NESSie are offering a forum which aims to:
- Help parents to develop an understanding of and the language of the SEN system
- Support parents to understand and describe their child’s needs
- Discuss how best to work effectively in partnership with professionals.
- Provide a space to explore how to manage the pressures of supporting a child/ren with additional needs.
