The Parent Network offer free one-off Zoom Sessions on a variety of subjects for parents of those with diagnosed or suspected SEND.

Please find below the details of two free courses being offered by Families in Focus in the spring term. Courses are available to those living in Hertfordshire with SEND or suspected SEND.
There is a 10 week course entitled: ‘A Complete Guide To Parenting Children With SEND’ and a 6 week course entitled: ‘Handling Anger In Your Child With ADHD or Autism’. Each course is running several times at different times.

Angels Autism and ADHD Support

Angels Support Group aim to support families with children with ADHD and/or Autism (including suspected ADHD/Autism) to help parents/carers build their knowledge and confidence in order to meet the needs of the child or young person they care for.
They offer:
Parent support group meetings led by a facilitator face to face and virtually over Zoom where you can chat with other parents and share ideas and experiences;
Evening support group meetings over Zoom;
Speaker Sessions and Workshops on ADHD and Autism;
Angels 1 to 1 – individual appointments with Specialist Support Practitioners to help with particular issues at home and school;
A website and Facebook page, plus a private, moderated Facebook group for members.

Bringing up confident children (with ASD/ADHD) online group

Family Lives are offering a weekly online group to the parents of children with ASD or ADHD (flyer attached) which aims to give parents support to help their children become happier and more confident.
The sessions are running on a Thursday evening from 7pm-9pm, starting on 11th November and ending on 16th December.
Sessions will cover :
* ADHD – a whole-family issue
* Understanding your child’s behaviour
* Helping your child manage their feelings and outbursts
* Balancing support of siblings
* Learning new parenting strategies to address challenging behaviour and to make a difference in your family life

Angels support group

Please find below a flyer about the Angels Support Group, for the parents of children with a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD, or awaiting a diagnosis of either of these.
Angels offer group support, as well as individual sessions, and guest speakers. Sessions are free, although a donation of £1 is requested, if possible.
