Pupils were keen to learn about the tasty Chinese food as part of their Geography unit this term. They were able to make the noodles with assisted teacher support. All pupils enjoyed the tasting session as well as socialising in the William Ransom Chinese restaurant.
Class 1/2’s Chinese New Year Assembly Pupils in Class 1/2 have been learning about China. In D & T we have finished making our vehicles. We had to make sure that the axle would fit the chasis and that the wheels would turn.
Pupils enjoyed performing their Sports Relief dance in the morning to the entire school and parents called ‘Step it Up’ Lots of pupils beat their personal record when running for Sports Relief. Pupils began their activity in the hall to warm up with a team activity of finding their chosen fruit pictures. The fruit pictures were muddled in the middle of the hall. On World Book Day we dressed up as our favourite characters. We had to bring in a copy of the book that our characters were from. We all enjoyed it and have taken part in lots of activities this week to show how much we enjoy books.
Pupils looked at creating different pencil strokes and how to create overlapping effects. They practised this by drawing trees. David Hockney then showed the importance of colour in his work.
