Holly class have started the year with some exciting new topics.
In Design and Technology, we are looking at puppets and moving parts. We started by looking at different kinds of puppets and then went on to make our own finger puppets. Everyone enjoyed putting characters to their puppets. Then we used our facts from our History topic to create a scene about Christopher Columbus complete with moving part.
In Science, we are looking at different materials and their properties. The children enjoyed using their sense of touch to sort the objects into different groups, soft or hard, flexible or rigid.
In Art, we are learning about Pointillism and have created animals and landscapes in the pointillist style using cotton buds and felt tip pens. I’m sure you’ll agree they look amazing!
