Netball Match report

The netball team had two great matches last week against Highover, with the Year 6 team drawing 4-4 and the Year 5s (with a few bonus Year 6s) sadly finishing with a loss.

Below are the match reports written by some of the team.

William Ransom against Highover (Year 6 team)

Netball : 26 February 2020

The first goal of the match was scored by Josh Parhar of the Goal Attack position, this put us ahead one point. We soon scored again, still in the first quarter and again by Josh Parhar. Unluckily for us Highover scored twice in the first quarter leaving it 2 – 2. We had a streak of bad luck letting them take a 2 point lead. It was beginning to feel very tense. The third quarter was goalless, except one long range shot from Will Faulkner the Goal Shooter. It was down to the last quarter, after many near misses we had our best chance it was in the last 30 seconds Jessica Busolini took a shot from just next to the post and it went straight in. Fortunately when Highover got in the D after the Busolini goal, time finished just as they were lining up there shot. The match ended 4 – 4.

Whilst the we walked away happily from the encounter, ending a streak of losing matches, Highover’s team walked away disappointed. (written by Will Faulkner)
