Cedar Class have all made an excellent mathematical start to the year.
They have been keen to show off their number knowledge and times tables. We have spent some time looking at addition and subtraction and moved this onto money. The children have worked hard making an amount using different coins, looking at using a logical approach to investigate problems. Coins have been used to help show amounts, especially proving helpful when very tricky word problems were being solved. Some children worked extremely hard and completed a very complex word problem using trial and error, they even got to explain it to Mrs Driver. She was extremely pleased by Cedar Class' super mathematicians!
