Let’s Get Cooking Chicken & Chorizo Paella and Scones

Another amazing week with delicious recipes to enjoy. Time to hand over to our star cooks…

"I made Paella.  This dish was the most challenging dish that I have made so far. To start, we had to chop up the vegetables which were: pepper, onions and tomatoes. Secondly, we peeled garlic cloves and crushed them and cut the chorizo into small pieces.  We cooked the chorizo and chicken in a separate pan.  After that, we started to heat the big pan and after a few minutes we added the vegetables.  When the vegetables had softened, we began to add the rice while pouring in some stock and added lemon pieces for flavour.  Everyone then had a mix of the ingredients and added the chorizo and chicken (once the chicken was golden).  The last thing we did was add the peas and kept mixing for 5 to 10 minutes until everything was cooked thoroughly.  After a wait, we got to eat some and everyone found it delicious.  I asked my family what they thought of it and they said it was the best dish yet!"  by Amelia 

"We made four different flavours of scones: chocolate chip; raisin; plain; cheese & herb.  It was easy making them but the bit we struggled to do was putting the dough into a ball.  My dad tried the raisin scone and he said it was deliciuos and would like to make more at home.  They were all delicious but my favourite was the chocolate one." by Emily
