Information from Mrs Driver

Whilst you are reading this I will be on our annual School Journey with our Year 6 pupils. We are in North Wales from Sunday 2nd June – Friday 7th June. Therefore I will not be available in school. If you have any queries during the week, please contact Mrs Brown. Keep an eye on the school website as we hope to be able to keep you all up to date with what we are all doing in Snowdonia!

Once we return there will only be 6 weeks until the end of term with lots to pack into those weeks. I hope you are keeping the 15th June free as it is the School Fete. This is our major fundraiser for the year and we do rely on support from everyone! The rota will be up in the entrance foyer so please sign up to help out on one of the stalls. The following day Mr Mills and Mrs Light will be taking our Lacrosse team to the National Finals in Hatfield. This is another fantastic achievement and we wish them well.

We have our annual School Music Concert on Wednesday 19th June at 7.00pm and then Sports Day is on Friday 21st June, KS1 at 10.30 and KS2 at 1.45. We will also arrange a date for a Parent Forum meeting and also an evening to explain the structure of the school prior to new classes being released.

Rehearsals are going well for our production of The Lion King on 15 – 17 July. We are very grateful for the many offers of help we have already received. We would like to arrange a working party afternoon to make masks for ‘Wildebeests’. If you think you might be able to help out, please give your name to the office and we will contact you once a time has been arranged.

I look forward to welcoming you into school at one of the many events planned for the summer term and don’t hesitate to come in and see us if you have any concerns.

Yours sincerely

Mary Driver
