Hunting for Minibeasts

In Holly class this term we are learning about habitats as part of our science work.  We headed into the nature area at school to see what minibeasts we could find.

Holly class made great detectives! We hunted under logs, in leaves, on branches, under pots, under benches and in the ground. We found: flies, ants, worms, snails, slugs, earwigs, spiders, woodlice, a centipede and two small beetles. We also spotted a squirrel! We found that lots of minibeasts like to live in dark and damp conditions.
