Home to Our Lady for the netball teams

On Wednesday 8th October the netball teams played Our Lady at William Ransom. Despite it being a blustery night the girls from both teams and both schools played some great netball.

In the first half Our Lady scored 3 out of their 6 attempts and William Ransom scored 6 out of their 9 attempts. With a rotation having taken place for the second half, Our Lady scored both of their two attempts and William Ransom scored 2 of their 4 attempts to make the score an 8-5 win for the home team.

The B-team scored 3 of their 12 attempts so the girls worked hard to get the ball down to the shooters. Our Lady scored only 1 of their 4 attempts. When the girls rotated Our Lady had two attempts and failed to score again and William Ransom had 9 attempts and 3 goals to give a home win 6-1.

It was good to see the girls had learnt from their games last week. The marking was much better and the shooting. There is still lots to work on but it’s early days and the girls are keen to improve. There are also lots of girls competing for a place in a team.

Next match Wednesday 22nd October at St.Andrew’s
