In the last couple of weeks class 1R has been learning about healthy eating. We have tasted and compared different fruits and vegetables. Many of us even tried fruits such as physalis and pomegranate for the first time! Then the children worked in small groups to plan and prepare a healthy recipe. They safely and hygienically prepared the fruit for their recipe, peeling, chopping and removing pips before enjoying their finished smoothies, fruit kebabs or other creative inventions. Then it was time to evaluate what they had made. Unfortunately, not all creations got a positive review!
