Girl’s ESFA tournament

The girl's football team took part in the ESFA tournament at Whitehill tonight. The games were short due to poor light so it was essential to keep thinking and playing.

The first game against Cockerhoe was fast and furious and a goal from Catherine half way through the first half encouraged the girls in their first match together. The second half saw some good attacking and defending from both teams but another goal from Catherine gave William Ransom a 2-0 win.

As Breachwood Green were late the girls went straight on to play Whitehill who had some strong players. William Ransom held them to a 0-0 draw and the same result was achieved in their third game against Breachwood Green.

Unfortunately Whitehill won 2 games and drew one so went through into the final to play St. Ippolyts.

St. Ippolyts were the overall winners and go through to the next round on Saturday.

Well done to all players some good football was played and no goals conceded. Thanks to parents who supported and we look forward to our next game, a friendlyy against Ickleford next Thursday at their school.
