Exciting News!

I am delighted to tell you that Miss Vivian gave birth to a healthy baby boy early Sunday morning. Baby Maranian weighed in at 5lbs 5 oz. and was a couple of weeks early!  I am sure you will all join me in congratulating Miss Vivian and Mr Maranian and wishing them all the best.

For the next 2 weeks Pine Class will be taught by Mr Sears and Mrs Delaney.

Please ensure your child is arriving at school during their allocated time. We are noticing some of the year groups are trying to sneak in early to school! That must be a first! If you are a parent who ‘drops and runs’ that is fine but please don’t run until the time your child can come into school! As a reminder:

Year R 8.35 – 8.45

Year 1 8.40 – 8.45

Year 2 8.50 – 8.55

Year 3 8.40 – 8.45

Year 4 8.50 – 8.55

Year 5/6 8.45 – 8.50

If everyone adheres to their allocated time there should be no congestion at the school gates!

As we move into the coughs and colds season, it is going to be really hard to know whether children (and adults) are displaying symptoms of Covid 19. Please refer to the latest guidance from the government regarding symptoms in children and make a decision on whether you think your child needs a test.

We are doing our best to keep the children in their bubbles and to keep those bubbles separate. Please help us by respecting social distance out in the lane, set a good example to your children. We are reminding the children they must not meet in groups of more than 6 within their homes as the current guidance states. Please reinforce this at home. We want to contain the virus as far as we can and prevent any closures if at all possible.

This also means we want to avoid too many people coming into the office. If your child has forgotten something they will learn to manage without it! If you need to complete a medicines form, we are going to make these downloadable from the school website in the next couple of days. The forms and medicines can then be sent into school with your child.

Please remember if you have any concerns about your child at school, do not hesitate to come in to see me.

I look forward to seeing you in school in the very near future.

Yours sincerely

Mary Driver
