We recently took four teams to compete at the NHSSP cross country event at Knights Templar school.
It was a fairly difficult course, with lots of short but steep hills to negotiate. We had four boys and four girls taking part from Year 5 and 6. All children did extremely well showing great determination to complete the course.
Our stand-out performers were the Year 5 girls, who took second place overall but had some amazing individual runs also. Both Carys and Abigail made it into the top 10 with a 4th and 8th respectively. This was an incredible achievement and both girls should be very proud. Hopefully we can see them build on this for next year.
Another star performer came from the Year 6 girls race, where Lara narrowly also managed to break into the top 10, taking 9th place.
