Dear Parents/Guardians,

Well, you all made it to the last week! There are just three more days left of term and then you can relax, enjoy some more socially distanced activities (hopefully in the sun) and start getting yourselves ready for Year 5.

Last week I set you two weeks’ worth of work so there should still be plenty left, but only do what you can manage. Your home schooling does not have to be as long as a normal school day and feel free to pick and choose what you think you’d enjoy most.

As I don’t have any work to set you this week, I thought I’d share all the wonderful work you’ve been sending me. Of course, if you haven’t sent me something recently, or you do something this week you’re really proud of, then our Zoom chat on Friday would be a great time to share it.

I’d also like to use the Zoom chat to celebrate our summer birthdays too. In July we have Sonika, Connor and Alfie and in August it’s Ryad and Izzy’s birthdays. I hope you can find a way to enjoy your birthdays in lockdown. It’ll certainly be a birthday you won’t forget!

When you collect your books on tomorrow, there are some gifts in there from myself and Mrs Davis-Plummer so make sure you take your envelope with you. You can look at what’s in the envelope and open Mrs Davis-Plummer’s present, but save the little parcel for our Zoom chat.

I think all there’s left to say is thank you for all your hard work this term. It’s not been easy for you to work at home or for your parents to take on the teaching, so I think you all deserve a huge pat on the back. I for one am really proud of you. Make sure you all have a rest over the summer, it’s going to be a busy autumn term!

Enjoy the holidays,

Miss Eldridge
