Despite the weather turning rather nippy the children have all had lots of opportunities to be outside during Discover & Do. Only in tippling rain do we bring everyone inside. We’ve had an awesome week exploring Stick Man. Many of you will have met one this week that has been made during Discover & Do and we’re sure you’ll agree they look fantastic, and each one individual. Here are a selection of photos from this week’s Discover & Do time…
There has been opportunity for small world play outside.
In the maths area the children have created pictures using shapes and nails. This is an excellent activity for also building fine motor skills as they use their fingers to pick and hold the little nails. Others explored using the 3D shape blocks for building.
Fantastic exploration of the number 5.
In the creative area Stick Man inspired their pictures and they made moving Stick Men using card and split pins, which we will use for one of our display boards in school.
