Class 2 visited the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara where they were made extremely welcome. They were given a lot of information about Sikhism and enjoyed a snack afterwards.
On arrival at the Gurdwara, the children took off their shoes and ensured their heads were covered. After a look at the entrance hall, we went into the main prayer room. The children were invited to bow their heads to the Guru Granth Sahib if they chose to, and some offered a monetary donation. They enjoyed a talk about Sikhism and the Gurdwara itself, learning a lot of new facts in the process. After this they were invited into the langhar for a drink and a snack.
The visit was very enjoyable and informative for everyone.
