The children had a great time on Thursday when Hitchin Fire Station came to visit to support their learning about the work of the emergency services.
They got to hear all about the fire engine and the different tools and machinery that are kept on it.
They also got to hear all about the different things a firefighter does and what they wear.
The firefighters talked to the children about the importance of having a smoke alarm in the house and what to do if they ever had fire on them. They learnt to STOP, DROP, ROLL.
Everyone got the chance to be a real firefighter and use the hose!
