Summer Term is here!

It’s been great being back at school and the children have very quickly settled back into their routines. Here is a selection of photos of how they’ve been keeping themselves busy during Discover & Do over the last 2 weeks…

Using paints to create rainforest scenes and birds
Junk modelling: some of the children rose to the challenge to create something related to the rainforest, whether that be a tree frog, tree, or animal catcher

Writing and mark making: the children have been using post it notes to write messages and have been making cards to their teachers and friends

It’s been busy at the vets! The children have been engaging in role play, pretending to be vets, nurses and customers. Amongst other things, they have been using their communication and language skills and their literacy skills to write appointment cards and prescriptions.
Outdoor construction: the children have been working collaboratively to build various structures in the outdoor construction area.
Outdoor role play: the cafe has been open again. It was touch and go one day if they were going to close due to bad weather as black clouds rolled in but they managed to serve all their customers!
Texture play in the sand pit.
At the texture table we made tree frogs.
