The Lion King - A Roaring Success

We have had an amazing week with The Lion King. The accolades have been flooding in and it appears that everyone who came thoroughly enjoyed the show!

Disney corporation came to see the show on Tuesday night and sent this message:
Thank you again for the joyful experience of watching your school’s production of The Lion King last night. It was truly wonderful to watch your pupils and staff embrace both the story and the challenge, and to bring our beloved show to life in a whole different way.

From Derrick Ashley our local County Councillor:
I am speechless!...Congratulations to everyone involved!

From Rebecca Hughes, Music Advisor for North Herts:
Thank you so much for your kind invitation to the performance of The Lion King. I thoroughly enjoyed it (and the authentic climate!) Congratulations on a fabulous performance which doesn't happen without an enormous amount of hard work from everybody involved. It was certainly an undertaking of great magnitude brought to the stage seamlessly and was very much a team effort which had been embraced by the whole school working alongside such talented students.

From Dawn Maydom, Head of PE at Hitchin Girls’ School:
I was just overwhelmed by the standard of performance and production from the students and staff.

From Paul Mulot, previous head of William Ransom:
Thank you so much for the kind invitation to attend 'The Lion King' performance last night. It was absolutely magical and delightful. In truth, the whole cast were excellent, from the superb leads to the wonderful, dynamic ensemble without whom there would be no performance.

The chance to put on a UK premier was such a unique opportunity and as a school we have loved every minute of it.
