A busy half term in Holly class!

Here is some of the exciting work that has been going on in Holly class this half term.

We all had a great time visiting different countries on Language Day in September. We learnt how to say words in different languages, we coloured in flags, tried on clothes and tasted different foods!

In RE, we have been learning about how different religions celebrate the natural world. The children enjoyed building sukkah models out of blocks and Lego, to celebrate the Jewish festival Sukkot.

The children have been enjoying learning all about the Great Fire of London and are starting to remember lots of facts. We have now completed our own Tudor Houses and are looking forward to burning them down, when we recreate the fire on our Great Fire of London Day next half term.

In Science, we have been learning all about animals including humans. We have used different senses to identify objects, sorted and grouped animals into different categories and labelled parts of different animals.

Hopefully everyone is now enjoying a well-earned rest over half term. Keep practicing the Maths facts and phonics sounds we have covered so far.
