Winter Wonderland
Wow!! What an amazing day we had on Saturday at The Winter Wonderland. It was a wonderful event and thanks must go to everyone who helped in any way. We had people who came along to help set up, there were people who had been beavering away for weeks getting things ready for the Secret Present Room, there were people who came along and helped out on the day, running stalls and there were a group who came in or stayed right to the end to clean the school and help to put it back ready for Monday morning. And leading all of this were the SPA who worked tirelessly to ensure everything ran smoothly. You were all amazing! Thank you so much!
It looks like we have raised over £5000 which is incredible and will certainly help to replace the stage which has suffered from water damage and is unsalvageable. Hopefully now you will be able to see your children in their Christmas performances!!

Hitchin Partnership
You may remember last Christmas we assisted the Hitchin Partnership in their quest to send hampers to different families in need across Hitchin. This is something we would like to repeat so this year we are collecting boxes of 6 mince pies. If you think you could support us in this, please send a box of 6 mince pies into school as soon as possible.

Pick-up arrangements
We have noticed that some of our younger children are arranging their own play dates for after school and not discussing this with anyone at home. This complicates matters at the end of the day if the children are adamant they are going home with someone different. For ALL key stage 1 and reception children, please ensure the class teachers know the usual arrangements and if there is ever anything out of the ordinary, please place a post-it note on the reading record book stating any changes. This ensures the teacher will see the note. If we are unsure we will always follow this up with a phone call. School finishes at 3.20pm, please ensure you outside at this time.

School closed
Just a reminder that school will be closed on Friday 24th November for an occasional day and on Monday 27th November for an INSET Day.

Please remember if there is anything you would like to discuss with me, do not hesitate to make an appointment.

Yours sincerely
Mary Driver
