What a fantastic summer fete we had this year!

Dear Parents,

Wow! What a fantastic summer fete, this year was a particular challenge with all of the building work so we had to be more resourceful with the space available. I think the highlight of the day was watching Mrs Driver ‘cuddle’ a snake!!!

I’m sure you would all agree that once again everyone all pulled together and gave the children and parents a lovely day. In total you raised £5,000 this is a fantastic achievement which is a reflection of all the time and effort you all put in to help raise money to benefit your children.

It does not go unrecognised the time it takes to help set up the Fete, run the stalls and clear away afterwards.

The SPA would like to say a big thankyou to all those connected with the school, it really was a team effort.

The SPA are always looking for more people to join us and continue the work. Please contact me directly at cstokes255@gmail.com or pop into the office and speak with Mrs Driver if you are interested in finding out more.

Kind Regards
Chris Stokes

  • The roundabout was a big hit (and dads only had to do 20 minutes of hard work!.. maybe a few times)

  • The plant stall was amazing with its hanging baskets and various plants

  • as well as pollinator-themed tasty snacks and baked goods

  • And Jo Jungle brought her animals and insects to show to children and adults

  • including a snake. Did everyone see Mrs Driver 'cuddle' the snake at the end of the fete?!

  • Kids were pretty cool handling the snake...

  • The cake stall, books and dvds, badge making and raffle - all drew big crowds to the hall

  • The cake stall was fantastic as always

  • We served burgers from a local supplier and gluten-free sausages

  • Beat the Goalie stall was extremely popular with ... boys, of course!

  • And here's Mrs Driver with her now favourite pet!

  • After the snake holding experience, mopping floors was a great relief - life is back to normal
