What a great night at The Race Night

Who needs Ascot or The Grand National when you have a William Ransom Race Night?

60 staff and parents packed into the hall on Friday to participate in an evening of horse racing. People were keen to buy a horse and act as a jockey for the evening and then everyone was betting 50p on their favourite horses to win! It was all just a bit of fun and no-one could be accused of encouraging serious gambling! However, great fun was had by everyone who attended and hopefully we have raised lots of money to support school projects. Have a look at the photos of the winning jockeys being presented with their rosettes!

  • Mr Philipson won the first race of the night!

  • Another winner with his horse!

  • Mrs Brown presents the next winner with his prize!

  • Miss Ayliffe presents the rosette this time!

  • Mrs Buchanan won the Governors Gallop not Mr Stokes!

  • Everyone is getting in on the action now!

  • Now it's Mr Philipson's turn to present the prize!

  • Jenny won on Jenny!

  • The fish and chip supper was needed after all that racing!

  • People were proud of their achievements!

  • Who else would wear Jockey silks?!

  • The horses were auctioned in the final race and these were the winning jockeys!
