Well done to the table tennis teams who represented North Herts today

An early start for the table tennis teams as they went to represent North Herts at Queens School in Bushey today. The first group arrived just as the teachers were being called and the second group, minutes before the welcome! Not a good journey in the rush hour!

The boys' team, who were Tom, Calum, Freddie and George played some great games but as usual, the boys' competition was fast and of an excellent standard so the boys did really well to come third in their group.

The girls team, who were Sana, Isabelle, Megan and Avani also met a few challenges along their group journey but with Isabelle and Megan unbeaten and Avani only losing two games and Sana our top seed only losing  three games in the whole of the group stage, the team progressed to the semi finals. They played and beat Garden Felds School ffrom the Welwyn area and won against Woodend School from Harpenden in the final. This means that they go through to the Zone Final at Morpeth School in Tower Hamlets on Saturday 30th January.

Many congratulations to both teams. Thanks to Mrs Every and Mrs Waite for their help with transport and good luck to the girls as they prepare for the next round.
